Our Dance Teacher

Principle Lincoln Teacher - Alex Law

Alex is a Graduate from the University of Lincoln with a BA (Hons) in Dance, she then went onto gain her Level 3 OCNFreedom in Dance qualification (leading dance with older people), NVQ level 2 in Fitness Instructing, NVQ Level 3 in Personal Training and Designing Pre and Post Natal Exercise Programmes. She is also an Associate teacher of the International Dance Teachers Association IDTA.
 
After graduating she worked as the Dance4Life Apprentice at Lincolnshire Dance where she led various classes and workshops, assisted in the creation of projects and classes across the county to promote dance, health and wellbeing. In 2010 Alex set up her company 'Rhythm in Movement Dance Company' where she has worked all over the county with all age ranges and abilities in various settings. Alex teaches various dance forms including Ballet, Tap, Modern, Jazz, Street Dance, Cheerleading, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Boogie Bounce, Fitness Pilates,  Clubbercise, and Mum and Baby Pilates.

On top of this Alex has danced with various other dance companies in various pieces and projects and has had the opportunity to perform at various acclaimed theatres.
She also keeps herself updated by attending regular professional workshops and courses to ensure the best possible training for both herself and her pupils.

Gainsborough Teacher- Donna Hall 

Donna has been dancing since the age of 4 in 2011 I graduated from University of Lincoln with a BA Honours in Dance since then she has continued her professional development in dancing in gaining Level 3 OCN Freedom In Dance- Leading Dance with older people, Zumba Qualifications for adults Kids and Over 50’s and BATD Qualifications to Associate level in Freestyle, Cheer Pom, Modern and Stage. She continues to study through the BATD to gain more Associates in the future.
 In 2013 she gained a Post Graduate Degree in Early Years Professional Status working in a setting for 2 years with fully awareness of the EYFS. She worked Part time in the nursery setting and Part time as an afterschool dance teacher in the local area. In January 2016 she became a full time Freelance Dance Teacher working in Nursery, Primary, Secondary and Special Needs Schools, believing that every child should have the opportunity to dance.
Donna is enhanced DBS checked, First Aid Trained, and Fully Insured and Safeguarding Training. She hopes to continue her professional development by attending workshops and other dance courses to widen her knowledge.

Erica Preston

Erica  is currently pursuing her dance studies in her third year at the University of Lincoln. She began dancing at the age of 3 and has since enjoyed numerous opportunities through her dance school, including pantomimes, dance competitions, and guest performances with other local companies. Once she has graduated Erica aims to perform along side teaching.




Amy O'Sullivan

Amy is our Street Dance specialist, working primarily with our senior dancers. Based in Lincoln, she is an experienced community dance artist with both a BA (Hons) and a Master’s in Choreography from the University of Lincoln.

Over the past decade, Amy has choreographed and performed with national touring dance companies, collaborated with local dance and theatre organisations, and led a wide range of community arts projects. Her work has featured in outdoor performances, platform showcases, and festivals across the region.

With more than 10 years of experience in the Lincolnshire arts sector, Amy now teaches a variety of dance styles and disciplines at multiple schools throughout the county. Her passion lies in combining creativity with community, inspiring dancers of all ages to grow in confidence and skill.

Sylvia Lloyd

Sylv is our Friday night aerial teacher, bringing with her over 13 years of experience as both a performer and instructor.  She is a Spin City Advanced Hoop Instructor and an XPERT-certified Silks and Fly-Pole Instructor, with a background that spans training and performing alongside world-class aerial artists across the UK.


Passionate about continuous learning, Sylv regularly attends workshops and conventions to keep her skills fresh and to introduce new techniques to her students.


Sylv teaches all of our aerial classes for both kids and adults. Her energy, creativity, and wealth of knowledge make every class engaging, inspiring, and a whole lot of fun.
